Venus and Mars Love Mythology

Roman Venus had many abilities beyond the Greek Aphrodite; she was a goddess of victory, fertility, and even prostitution.

With her exquisite features and pleasant smile she attracted many suitors, gods and mortals alike. However, she was married to the graceless and lame Vulcan, the god of fire. Vulcan and Venus had a loveless marriage and no children.

Her true love was Mars , the god of war. There is a myth concerning Venus' and Mars' love affair and how Vulcan cunningly trapped them in bed with a net.
